Powder River Music Revue DEI Statement

Diversity: Powder River Music Revue is committed to diversity in race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, culture, national origin, religious commitments, age, (dis)ability status, and political perspectives. Through our events we have shared, and will continue to share, diverse musical backgrounds and diverse musical genres.

Equity: We are committed to actively perceiving and confronting bias, harassment, and discrimination based on in race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, culture, national origin, religious commitments, age, (dis)ability status, marital status, height, weight, or veteran status.

Inclusion: To ensure that Powder River Music Revue board members, volunteers, community partners, musicians, and audience members feel a sense of belonging and inclusion, we have made the commitment to actively and respectfully listen to different perspectives and include all perspectives in our decision-making process. By doing so we strive to benefit the community by including all who wish to participate in our activities.

Baker County Economy: As Powder River Music Revue operates in a geographically isolated area, there are often limitations regarding resources and services. In Baker County there are a significant amount of people living at, or below, the recognized poverty level. Our organization stands in support of those working toward eliminating economic disparity and other inequities that are prevalent in our area. We help support the community by offering our events for free to all who wish to attend and by partnering with other local organizations to build a stronger economy in Baker County through inclusion, education, and tourism.
